Ten of our youth in formation renewed their vows, five on the 29th of April in Lebanon and four on the 30th of the same month in Cairo, while the last one renewed on the 1st of May in Granada (Spain). In Beirut (Lebanon), it was in the presence of Father Simon Mbuthia, the Vice Provincial Superior of Egypt and Sudan province and the formators that our Scholastics renewed their vows of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience. While in Cairo, it was Father Diego Carbonare who presided the celebration and received the vows of our Scholastics in presence of other ten priests. In his homely, Father Diego basing on the Gospel of Saint John remined the assembly and most especially the Scholastics that they are sent by God to the world not to condemned the world, but to save it by their lives and their testimony.

By this act of faith, the Scholastics have accepted to be religious in the Institute of the Comboni Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus. The renewal of their vows is the renewal of their engagement and involvement into the mission of evangelization by their lives, their studies and pastoral activities. it means also that, they have accepted to continue their formation in theology or in the Missionary Service in order to become Comboni Missionary priests. We pray for them and encourage them to go ahead because the mission is waiting for them. May by the intercession of Saint Joseph, God grant us a lot of vocations.
